For me, Easter Weekend was spent at Boogie Festival in Tullarook. It is such a wonderful and colourful festival, and I had lots of fun...By the 3rd day, however, I was feeling rather sideways, and extremely irritated by the painful and itchy rash covering most of my body. I spent the second half of the festival on a half inflated camping mattress, covered in melted marshmallows and struggling through an endless run of fever dreams. I decided only to document the first half of the weekend in photo's...but will take requests to view photo's of my red-rash covered butt and thighs, if skin ailments fascinate you, as they do me.

Spring is on it's way. It makes me giddy.

I am moving this weekend, to a bigger block with fruit trees abound. I am looking forward to putting in the veggie garden, setting up the alcohol distillery in one of the three sheds on our new property and hanging hammocks from the trees. I miss digging in the dirt.

I spent the Easter weekend, with a bunch of friends, at Boogie Festival, at Bruzzy's Farm in Tallarook. To be honest, more time was spent partying at the campsite than watching bands. My fiance and I, however, made sure we didn't miss Justin Town Earle's set, and enjoyed a good hard boogie. Other time was spent flying kites, collecting sheep bones, making artz, smoking shisha in a teepee, watching my friends give each other stick and poke tattoos, viewing sunsets, drinking lots of real yummy cocktails, holding hands, admiring amazing costumes, losing brain cells, getting grubby, watching babes do acid yoga, sitting in cake (oopsie!), tripping over tent strings (oops again!), laughing hard, giving and receiving cuddles, spending all my boogie bucks on french fries, hanging in the clubhouse and having a generally fantastic time. I definitely hope to do it all again at Boogie Festival 2011.

..curled up on the couch and listened to the boom and crash of saturday's storm, found treasures amongst piles of this-and-that at an outdoor market, slept on trains, head rested on the shoulder of my love, stuffed myself silly at yum cha, drank cheap red wine with cuties and laughed a lot, broke into a strangers field at midnight to sit on wet logs and listen to my friends play the cajun accordian, slept like a baby in a church, fulfilled my craving for fish and chips. it was a pretty good long weekend.

I was very impressed by the meal my boyfriend put together last night.

So pretty and so so yummy. I contributed by baking an apple, fig and spice

cake with ingredients harvested from our garden. The cake, while delicious,
was not at all visually appealing, so I have included only pictures of the
fruit that went into it.

I received two packages in the mail and made muffins with the mulberries from

I don't remember how i discovered the paintings of Nashville artist, Harry Underwood, but I have been in love since i first layed eyes upon his work. Even the names he gives his paintings -Making The Good Time Milkshakes, The Volcano of Daredevils, The Calypso Measure, Become A Cosmic Bowler, The Lady Of The Magnetic Cake Orchestra, Okey Dokey and Hunky Dory Met In A Lemon Pie - are enough to have me a little weak at the knees. I discovered Harry's Flickr account the other day, and have since been mercilessly teasing myself with his nostalgic, pictorial narratives of life in the U.S.A's sun-soaked southern states, which are offered by both his paintings and personal photographs.

Melbourne afforded me some blue sky today, and while it's way too early (being only the first month of winter here) to bust out the swimsuit, nothing is going the stop me from plonking myself next to the ol'gas heater and fantasizing..

I'm not good at introductions. Never have been. I usually say too much or too little. Or atleast worry that I have.

.. but it's 1am here, and I am not particularly eloquent at such hours, so I'm going to get right to it, and keep it short.
